This blog is being created on the fly by Bonny and Doug McConnell. This is our first attempt and it shows. But learning is always fun – so we are having a lot of fun.

Planning for retirement began in 2012 actually. While riding our bikes we spied a beautiful 2005 40 foot long  Allegro Bus parked at the Redding Elks club.  As we stood admiring the vehicle, the owner Gary Smoot, emerged and placed a for sale sign on the window. We walked over, met Gary and his wife Shirley and the rest is history. The RV was purchased in January 2013.

What followed was educating ourselves about all the many internal systems and replacing carpets and other small modifications. The Smoots had really cared for the coach – it was in beautiful shape. Our intent is to keep it that way!
